1st Annual “Color Your World” Art Auction
SPONSORED BY THE SUSSEX COUNTY ARTS & HERITAGE COUNCIL
AND HOSTED BY PROJECT SELF SUFFICIENCY
In partnership with Project Self Sufficiency, the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council presents the 1st Annual “Color Your World” Art Auction! This spectacular event and fundraiser for the Council will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Project Self Sufficiency in Newton, NJ.
Art, wine and food enthusiasts welcome!
This is a unique opportunity to own and collect original works of art while benefiting the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council. In addition to the live auction, there will be wine, hor d’oeuvres and live music for everyone to enjoy. The “Color Your World” Art Auction will feature an array of original works created by professional, award winning, exhibiting, and emerging artists. A variety of media will be represented including oil, watercolor, mixed media, and photography.
As a major fundraiser, this event will help the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council achieve its mission to “foster and promote the artistic and cultural vitality of Sussex County” through a variety of adult and student programs, exhibits where artists can show and sell their work, and educational workshops. The Council is also a resource for learning about art and cultural events in the region.
Gene DePrez, Arts Council Board President noted that “this is an excellent opportunity for area residents to add art to their home or business at favorable costs. At the same time we are highlighting recognized and emerging regional artists, and supporting the Council’s programs.”
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance at the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council at 133 Spring Street, Newton, NJ or at the door. The event takes place March 29th from 6:30 to 10 pm at Project Self Sufficiency’s Community Education Center, 127 Mill Street, Newton, NJ.
