Are you looking for summer activities for your child? Summer Adventures at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum gives children an opportunity to explore science, history and the arts in an inspiring historic environment. The Museum will offer three programs this summer. “Nature Before Noon” from July 7 to July 11, provides a time for children 7-8 years old to observe and explore nature and express what they see and hear using a variety of artistic materials. Children who take part in “Secrets of the Civil War” the second program taking place July 28 to Aug 1, will participate in hands-on projects and learn about the frontline of battle, the home front, and delve into some of the secrets of the American Civil War. During the last program held August 11 to August 15, “Summer in the Secret Garden” children spend mornings in the garden just as the characters do in the children’s classic, “The Secret Garden.” Both “Summer in the Secret Garden” and “Secrets of the Civil War” are for children aged 9 – 12 years old.
The Summer Adventure Programs take place from 9 am – 12 noon. Preregistration is required. Call (973) 538-2404 ext. 16 or email email@example.com. The cost for each week-long program is $175/child for Museum members and $200/child for non-members. Not yet a member? Visit maccullochhall.org and become a member today.
