TRACK & FIELD MEET
Saturday, May 3 * 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Hackettstown High School, Warren Street, Hackettstown
Special Olympics athletes from throughout Morris, Sussex and Warren counties will participate in all kinds of races–from running and relay races to walking, assisted walking and wheelchair races–plus long jump, power lifting, and other events at the Area 3 Special Olympics Track & Field Meet. Special Olympics is a voluntary, non-profit organization that offers a year-round program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with mental retardation and other closely related developmental disabilities. The Olympic-style competition helps athletes develop strength, coordination and athletic skills, as they compete and achieve success.
