The Chester Lions Club installed its new slate of officers at Primavera in Stirling, NJ. on June 26.2014.

This year the new president of the club is John LeFand, a life member of the club who has received numerous awards of excellence including the highly prized Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for outstanding service.

A resident of Chester, John has been a member of the club for many years.  He plans to continue the mission of Lionism, to serve the community, fostering a spirit of understanding among all people through community involvement and cooperation.

He will be joined on the executive committee by Secretary Richard Lucy of Plainsboro and Treasurer Elizabeth Anger of Chester.

During his administration, Mr. LeFand will participate in the Lions Club Oktoberfest, which will take place on September 27 and 28 this year at Chubb Park.  The event allows the club to donate funds to individuals, and local, national and international

organizations in need.  In previous years, the club has donated to local Fire Departments, First Aid Squads, Churches and

Synagogues, Police Departments and numerous charitable organizations.

The Chester Lions Club is dedicated to helping those in need.  For further information please contact Phil Savell at
