The Hopatcong School District is proud to announce that our district was selected to be one of seven districts across the State of New Jersey to participate in The Early Childhood Academy at Rutgers University. The staff members selected to represent the Hopatcong Team were Dr. Mullane, Director of Curriculum, Elementary Education, Mrs. Tracey Hensz, Hudson Maxim Principal, and Mrs. Yvonne Moretello, Kindergarten Teacher. The academy met on three separate occasions to focus on key topics including: early childhood quality and program improvement, teacher evaluation, and Common Core State Standards. The topic discussions were guided by literature, expert presentations, and district presentations and facilitated discussions across and within districts.
