United Way Holds Wine Tasting Fundraiser to Support College Scholarships
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – United Way of Northern New Jersey is holding a wine and appetizer tasting fundraiser to support college scholarships for local women struggling financially to continue their education. The public is invited to Wine Time, a wine making center at 216 Stiger Street in Hackettstown, on Wednesday, June 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Attendees will taste and learn about wines and sample appetizers from area restaurants. Entertainment will be provided by the Caren Kennedy and Joe Janci Duo. Door prizes include a $100 gift certificate to Old Souk Trading, a certificate for two to Architects Golf Club, and six yoga classes to Fostering the Journey.
Funds raised at this event will support the United Way Women’s Leadership Council Scholarship Fund, which assists female, non-traditional Warren County students in covering expenses related to their college education. By providing financial resources to help women enroll in continuing education programs, the Council is helping women on their path to employment and, ultimately, to financial independence.
Attendees will hear firsthand from a Scholarship Fund recipient and how the Council’s support has helped her further her career and provide stability.
Event sponsors include Steve Dimiceli Painting, Always Best Care Senior Services, Dr. Nazir Brelvi, Fulton Bank of New Jersey, and Unity Bank.
Tickets for the event are $35 or you can become an event sponsor at various price points. Registration deadline is Friday, May 30.
