2015 MOHS Alumni Awards Scholarship to Newark Student

On June 11, unsuspecting student Anthony Rodriguez from Science Park High School, Newark was the recipient of the Stivel Ramirez Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Shane Logue, NJIT Alumni & Sigma Pi former treasurer presented the scholarship at Science Park’s 2019 Senior Awards Breakfast in honor of Mr. Ramirez. Mr. Ramirez was an NJIT student & member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity when he unexpectedly passed away in 2016. Anthony Rodriguez plans to attend NJIT this Fall, majoring in Computer Engineering.


Shane Logue has lived in Mount Olive his entire life and graduated from MOHS in 2015 as a Renaissance Super Senior. He attended NJIT on a full academic scholarship majoring in Civil Engineering and graduated Magna Cum Laude on May 21, 2019. He was the treasurer for the Sigma Pi Fraternity 2017- 2019. Shane has spent the last 3 summers as an intern at Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. of Flanders. Upon graduation he joined Suburban as a full time Designer and plans to pursue a Professional Engineer Certification.


Shane was honored to award the scholarship and Anthony was obviously surprised.
