Abilities of Northwest Jersey announced its “Diamonds in the Sky” Gala will be held on
Saturday, April 6th at Hawk Pointe Golf Club at 4 Clubhouse Drive, Washington. This year’s gala
will feature a special cocktail hour, followed by dinner, dancing, and a live and silent auction.
Abilities of Northwest Jersey is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the
employability and quality of life for adults with disabilities by providing training and
individualized services. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit over 400 individuals with
disabilities and will profit the organization’s recent PossAbilities Campaign, which includes their
goal to raise $1.75 million to expand services in the region.
The ‘Diamonds in the Sky’ Gala will honor the service recipients Abilities serves as the true
“stars” of the organization. The theme also tributes the organization’s supportive community,
who “light the path” for the individuals Abilities serves. The organization will present awards to
multiple members of the community, such as the Individual Achievement Award to Elizabeth
Moser, the Community Partner Award to The House of the Good Shepherd, the Volunteer Award
to Patti Sue Rossi, and the Special Recognition Award to Abilities Choir. The Gala will also
feature items from the organization’s art program for silent auction as well as other coveted items
for a live appeal.
“Every day our Abilities team has the opportunity to support our STARS and assisting each
individual in fulfilling their dreams. Our galaxy of stars is supported by our amazing community
and we look forward to celebrating with our partners at this spectacular event.” says Abilities’
Chief Development Officer, Sue Zukoski.
