Drawing begins at 7:30 p.m., and guests can win more than 100 prize baskets, enjoy light refreshments and support a significant organization in the local community.

Abilities of Northwest Jersey is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the employability and quality of life for individuals with different abilities by providing training and individualized services.

This will be Abilities’ 21stconsecutive year hosting one of their biggest fundraisers of the year. This year, however, has even more of a special cause for the organization due to the recent kick-off of its PossAbilities Campaign; with a goal to raise $1.75 million over the next five years to expand services and community resources.

“Our Tricky Tray profit will have direct impact on the services that we provide,” said Sue Zukoski, chief development officer at Abilities of Northwest Jersey. “We are expanding our employment supports, creating state-of-the-art sensory rooms, creating expanded resources for our community and ultimately supporting individuals in reaching their goals in life.”

Last year’s Tricky Tray event had more than 200 attendees and raised over $12,000, and it’s growing each year. This year the organization is expecting its largest turnout, since it has bigger and grander prizes. Guests can expect prizes from Vera Bradley, Coach, Thirty-One and a new special pumpkin raffle. Larger prizes include a kayak, free stays at Kalahari Resort & Waterpark and Camelback Resort and Aquatopia Waterpark.

“We love our Tricky Tray event because it brings the community together for a fun evening within our facility, while at the same time raising funds needed to make a difference in the lives of the individuals that we serve” said Zukoski.
