When Dave Turano was a Freshman in high school, he worked in a pizzeria. He loved working there and decided to try his hand at owning a pizzeria when he got older. He enjoyed cooking and creating the out of the ordinary Italian food. In 2000, he opened his first pizzeria in Lyndhurst and sold it in 2014. Then he joined The Pizza Terminal in Verona. Now he’s opened his newest business, Turano’s Pizza Kitchen in Livingston at 69 East Northfield Road. Over the years, Dave spent a great deal of time trying to figure out what he could do to have a different type of pizza kitchen. He is proud of his new venture, and happy with the warm reception of his patrons. After experimenting with menu ideas, he came up with a creative menu. Turano’s Pizza Kitchen’s extensive menu contains some new types of specialty pizzas, regular pizzas including Sicilian, and a diverse variety of unusual appetizers, dinners including chicken and seafood choices, pasta dishes, charcoal grilled burgers, hot sandwiches, wraps, paninis, desserts including Nutella pizza or smores pizza and much more. There is delivery service available to Livingston and West Orange.
