Boy Scout Troop 236 helped the Long Valley Rescue Squad with their car wash on Sat.,, May 21, at the Long Valley Rescue Squad in Long Valley.
On the way to the car wash, Ryan Kennedy and his mother Lisa rescued a lost dog in the middle of the road on Schooleys Mountain Road by the municipal building. The dog’s owners were located though the Facebook page of Washington Township NJ Community Bulletin Board, after the dog was taken to Long Valley Veterinary Clinic where the dog was examined for a possible identification chip. The dog “Ladybug” was retrieved by its thankful owners at the car wash.
Other scouts who helped in the car wash were Joe Pinelli, Jake Gattone and Joe Harmon.
