The Chester Lioness Club will meet for dinner at 6:30 PM on Thursday, November 7th, in the Lamplighter Restaurant, 180 West Main Street, Chester.
The program for this evening will be “Food as Medicine” presented by Catherine Segal, a recently retired pharmaceutical executive, registered pharmacist, and board trustee for the Senior Resource Center of New Jersey.
As a health educator Catherine has presented programs in Morris and Somerset Counties. During her career she developed an expertise in prescription to over-the-counter switches and led the recent switch of Flonase nasal spray for the treatment of allergies. She has developed numerous topics for discussion which include historical content, biology, practical advice and a look into the future with current research highlights. Catherine has been a resident of Chester Township for 20 years and is also an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Morris County, Homeless Solutions and the Sierra Club where she has participated in service trips in Hawaii and Arizona. Locally she is best known for her friendly Yorkie dogs.
