The Chester Lions Club installed its new slate of officers at the Madison Hotel in Convent Station on June 9.
For his second year, Warren Weinstein was installed as president of the Chester Lions Club.
A resident of Randolph, Warren plans to continue the edict of Lionism, to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding. He pledges to live by the Lions Slogan, “Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nation’s Safety.”
In addition to the Installation of Officers, the Chester Lions welcomed Cassie Kline of the Chester First Aid Squad in order to present her with a $25,000 towards the purchase of a Stryker power lift stretcher for the squad’s new ambulance.
The Chester Lions is proud to continue its support of this squad. In 1987, the squad became independent of the Chester Fire Company and became the Chester First Aid Squad Inc. As a new organization starting at financial ground level, the Chester Lions Club generously donated a new $65,000 ambulance.
