Chatham High School’s AP Physics C team ranked fourth overall, out of 69 teams,  in the New Jersey Science League.  CHS AP Physics C team members were Nishita Sinha, Yulan Zhang, Mark Ozdemir,and Andrew Schmidt.

The Science League acknowledged that teams that place in the top ten have accomplished an impressive feat, stating, “This accomplishment places the team members and the teams into a very elite group.”

CHS’s top students on the team ranked individually as well.  In the AP Physics C tests, Nishita Sinha placed first out of 620 students, and Yulan Zhang placed thirteenth out of 620 students.

Science League is a competitive league across NJ, in which students participate in competitions in the different science subjects from January through April of each year.  They compete by taking four exams in a given subject, and their scores are compared to other competing high school students’ scores to determine placements in the competition.
