Last week, Chatham High School junior Nishita Sinha presented her project at the annual Water Environment Federation conference in Atlantic City where she was awarded the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. As a New Jersey State winner, Nishita will travel to North Carolina to present her project at the national conference.

Nishita’s project called “Experimental Studies in Developing Safe Sanitation Solutions” is aimed at improving sanitation conditions in rural areas around the world and protecting groundwater from pathogenic microorganisms.
