Coalition Meeting Presents Diabetes: Prevention, Testing And Treatment

The Essex-Passaic Wellness Coalition (EPWC) plans to present a public educational session on diabetes on Mon., Sept. 26, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital in Montclair.
Dr. Stephen Sherry, and Ms. Andrea Cohen, will be giving a presentation entitled “Diabetes: Prevention, Testing and Treatment.” Sherry and Cohen will discuss the latest diagnostic and treatment options for diabetes as well as how to prevent diabetes.

This session is free and open to the public and will take place in the hospital auditorium. Refreshments and snacks will be served, courtesy of Mountainside Hospital. Free parking is available in the hospital’s parking deck.
The public is also welcome to attend the entire EPWC/Essex CEED quarterly meeting. 
The EPWC is the region’s chronic disease coalition, sponsored by the NJ Department of Health and Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, with more than 600 coalition members. The brief business portion of the meeting, which precedes the diabetes presentation, will begin promptly at 4 p.m.
