With 20 years of experience in the community, it’s no secret that Katty Cedeno has a love for the arts. Her passion has driven her to open beautiful art studios catered to children and families in the New Jersey Area.
This love for art began early on in her life. Growing up she spent time painting and teaching her family how to use art as a form of therapy.
Cedeno has always mentioned how calming and relaxing art has been since she incorporated it into a career. There is nothing more rewarding then seeing a young child being able to see a masterpiece they created with their own hands!
After having other successful businesses, Cedeno has embarked on a new journey in Pompton Plains. This time she has mixed the use of imagination and acrylic ceramic painting together to bring us, Creativity City.
“Creativity City is a two in one deal you won’t find anywhere else. The “City” is a safe environment where kids can come and use their imagination and become artists, doctors, fire fighters and more.” Cedeno said. “Creativity City is a city for children to use their wildest imaginations. With a small city built surrounding a play area, we’re certain that kids will be begging moms and dads to stay a little longer.”
That’s where the beauty of Creativity City kicks in. While kids play, the room adjacent to the City Center is a full-blown art studio. The studio portion offers; wooden plaque making, mosaic art, canvas painting, create your own stuffed animals with Teddy Mountain, and most importantly, Cedeno’s true love, ceramic arts with acrylic painting.
“Creativity City’s mission is to provide playtime for young children so that they will be enriched with the act of imagination. Creativity City strives to promote fair play and it is
absolutely required to have a grand imagination before entering the doors.” Cedeno said.
This two in one center will be opening it’s doors on Feb. 9. They will be offering; birthday parties, ladies night outs, company events, fundraising, mommy and me classes, canvas classes, wooden plaque classes, working with girls and boys scouts and more. Follow Creativity City on Instagram, Facebook or check their website for Grand Opening details and more information.
“Birthday parties are already filling up, so if you are needing something unique to help celebrate your child’s birthday, give Creativity City a call. I am thrilled to have this new addition to the community and excited for my new adventure.” Cedeno said.
