Memorial Middle School in Woodland Park recently hosted a CSI (crime scene investigation) Day for gifted and talented students. Sixty-nine guests from 10 area schools attended. Students worked together to solve a crime utilizing fingerprinting, footprints, DNA, handwriting, and more. A Passaic High School forensic science teacher was also on hand to man the DNA extraction station. The event was planned and organized by G&T and science teacher Miss Ament.
