DASACC Sponsors Washington Borough’s 1st Annual Pride Day 

 

On Saturday, June 25th, 2022, The Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County (DASACC) sponsored its First Annual Washington Borough Pride Day. Celebrating Diversity in Families. The event brought over 400 participants, 30 vendors and a host of community support from local businesses. The day included educational and statistical information from DASACC, CasaShaw, The Warren County Health Department, and the Hunterdon Health Care Partners LGBTQ division.

Guest speakers included Deputy Mayor Ethel Conry, Council person Sonia Ron, and DASACC Executive Director Jill Zinckgraf. Attendees of all ages and diverse backgrounds participated in family activity tables and dancing with Sammy the Dancing Unicorn featuring DJ Cadillac Kid from Lehigh Valley House Heads. Local businesses participated by displaying inclusion stickers “ALL FAMILIES WELCOME HERE” along with special activities and giveaways.
