911 Dog and Cat Rescue is participating in a shoe-collection fundraiser. The 501c3 non-profit group will be collecting gently worn, used and new shoes until the end of October.

The fundraiser aims to benefit both animals and communities in need. Raised funds will pay for veterinary bills and additional animal needs. Families in developing countries will receive the collected shoes.

911 Dog and Cat Rescue is based out of Morristown and run solely by volunteers. The organization focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of animals in need.

The rescue group asks for donors to drop off shoes of all types at 400 Western Ave., Morristown. Patrons can also call (908) 763-2040 or email 911dogrescue@gmail.com to arrange a pick up.
