The Baby Box Program

The Baby Box Company now at Butler Public Library. We are proud to announce that the Butler Public Library is now a Baby Box Distribution Center. Baby Boxes are inspired by the maternity packages given to all expectant mothers in Finland. They double as a baby starter kit and a safe sleep space for infants. They are an initiative that is new to the United States in an effort to equip all expecting families with vital parenting education and resources. The boxes themselves are free to all expectant mothers through the Baby Box University and include new parent essentials such as diapers, breast pads and more.

To claim your free baby box, register at: babyboxco.com

Log on and watch a 10-15 minute training course for your region, after taking a quiz, you will receive a certificate of completion. Print it out or take a screenshot and
bring the certificate and the email address you used on The Baby Box Company to Butler Public Library and collect your Baby Box. That’s it!

Congratulations on the birth of your little one, and welcome to the Baby Box Family!

Email usprograms@thebabyboxco.com for support if you have any trouble with The Baby Box Company process.

The Friends of the Butler Public Library

The Friends of the Butler Public Library has been happy to continue its support. Along with our annual donations to the children’s books, the museum passes, and the summer reading program, we have purchased a new utility table, a new refrigerator, and a new Dell computer for the library. We are also very excited about our latest
purchase, which will be available in the near future. This is the purchase of twelve HP Chromebooks and a storage station which is also a charging cart for these laptop tablets.

We would like to thank all of you who have donated to the Friends of the Butler Public Library. It is these donations that allow us to provide those enhancements that would not be possible within the library’s budget. If you have not already donated, please consider doing so. A copy of our Summer 2017 Friends of the Butler Public
Library Letter can be found on the Butler Public Library website. Go down the left hand side of the main page. Under Get Involved click on Friends. There are also paper copies that are available at the library.

Movie Recommendations Welcomed

Sometimes, we are asked if we know of any good movies in the Library collection for a person to watch. If you have any recommendations of good movies available at the Butler Library, please share that with us.  We can pass on your recommendations to other patrons.

PLEASE HELP:

We love signing everyone up for programs, but it saddens us when someone does not show up for the program on the day of the event. We spend a lot of time planning and
setting up programs for everyone and would like a courtesy call if your plans change. We can then call others who are on the waiting list and give them an
opportunity to join us.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

The Staff at the Butler Public Library
