Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ) held its Adult Recognition Program on May 11 at The Elan in Lodi. The event honored more than 1,000 outstanding volunteers across northern New Jersey with more than 1,000 awards for donating their time and leadership to deliver the Girl Scout program to more than 28,690 girls in northern New Jersey.
“Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey has so many dedicated volunteers who help us deliver our mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place,” said Lori Pimenta, chair of the board of directors for GSNNJ. “We are so lucky to have these caring individuals to mentor girls, help them discover their inner sparkle, and change the world with take action projects in the community. I am so honored to recognize our volunteers for dedicating their time and talent to Girl Scouting.”
The Volunteer of Excellence award recognizes volunteers who have contributed outstanding service while providing girls with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. This award was given to Christine Stabile of Warren Hills.
Kathleen Segada of Hackettstown and Susan Turk-Reiger of Warren Hills were honored for 15 years of membership.
Erinn Allison of North Warren; and Christine Bishop, Beth Nocente, Sheila Segarra, and Debra Whitney of Hackettstown were honored for 10 years of membership.
