Group Warms Children And Homeless With Handmade Items

The next charity knit/crochet day for the Charity Knitting group in Randolph will be Sat., Oct. 1, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

The group has been collecting a huge amount of knitted and crocheted items.  It is time to send them out again. A large amount of items was sent out just a few short months ago. Some items went to CareNet Crisis Pregnancy Center in Hackettstown; other children’s items and blankets went to WorldVision with shipments to Armenia, Bosnia, Burundi, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Mali, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Somalia and Swaziland.

A shipment also went to New York City Relief back in March with another huge donation this fall to help keep all of homeless citizens warm this winter.

It is also not too late to sign up for the Knitting Retreat at Pocono Plateau conference center at Pocono Mountains on Oct. 21-23. It is knitting only. Experienced knitters will sharpen their skills with more advanced work.  Housing and all meals are all provided in the cost. Check it out at:
