This year’s Mount Olive Holiday Food Drive continued a long tradition of success, with collections exceeding 2500 pounds of food donations from dropoff boxes throughout the township at area businesses and numerous corporations, many of which are active members of the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce. The 23rd annual event was organized by the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Olive Kiwanis Club with all the food and donations going to the Mount Olive Food Pantry. In the photos, Givaudan employees pose with some of the food they collected, winning the “big business” collection drive; in second photo, employees of RE/MAX Heritage
Properties stand before their collection, making it the “small business” collection champ in this year’s drive. The food was recently collected in time for the holiday season so that area families in need can enjoy the holidays at the dinner table. Additionally there were several monetary and gift card donations made totaling nearly $1600, with the Mount Olive Food Pantry the recipient.  All collections will be used to help needy families in the area. The MO Food Pantry, which serves the Greater Mount Olive community year-round, can be reached at 862-251-3938.
