The Marching Chiefs of Hopatcong High School recently received a Silver Rating in Music at New Jersey Music Educators Associations Marching Band Festival, held at Wayne Hills High School.
The band performed at 10 p.m., near the end of the show, close to the time they usually perform. The band was also recognized for the outstanding tenor saxophone sax soloist Wiktoria Plewa, and given credit for successfully performing Led Zeppelin — a feat few music adjudicators ever heard on a Marching Band Field in their careers. The band missed a Gold Rating in Music by three short points.
