Hopatcong Woman’s Club Fashion Show Fundraiser Exceeds Expectations

Perona Farms was once again the setting for our 10th Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser held last month. This year fashions were presented by Melania’s Fashions of Randolph. Many thanks to Melania and her staff, the fashions were extraordinary! A silent auction was with numerous door prizes, lots of fun and good food!

The Woman’s Club was also thankful for all of the local businesses for their generous donations and to the models, who made all the fashions look terrific.

The Hopatcong Woman’s Club is very active in the community, the Highlands District and the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs. Some current interests include items needed, financial assistance with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), Douglass College, scholarships for two high school seniors and one adult woman returning for further education, the Interfaith Food Bank, Head Start, IS Servicemen and women serving in Afghanistan, US Veterans, DASI (Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Intervention) and many community groups and activities.

Join in on the third Wed. of each month from Sept. through May, typically at the Hopatcong Senior Center on Lakeside Blvd at 10:30 a.m. Sept. and May events may be held at local restaurants with guest speakers. Check ahead by calling Member Chair Selma Reichert at 973-770-4989.
