On Sat., May 14, the Hudson Farm hosted the 10th annual Charity Hike for Hopatcong. This event drew more than 1,500 people, including more than 60 seniors that toured the property’s buildings and estate house. Each participant received “fun money” equal to $1 per year of the participant’s age, which they donated to any of the 17 organizations benefiting from the hike. This year’s organizations include the Hopatcong Fire Department, Hopatcong PBA 149, the Police Explorers, the Hopatcong Ambulance Squad, Hopatcong CERT, the Hopatcong Pound Project, several PTO’s and Project Graduation, and several youth sports organizations. The Hudson Farm matched the fun money donations, totaling $54,599.00.
