October 30, 2018, Randolph, NJ – Hundreds of local and county residents, including Mayor Mark Forstenhausler, Deputy Mayor Jim Loveys and Randolph Chamber of Commerce President Lou Nisivoccia joined Dr. Lauren Kaplan, Holistic Nutrition Coach Kathy D’Agati and Wellness Coach Alissa Okrent at the Grand Opening of Restoration Health Acupuncture & Nutrition, located in Suite 206 at 477 Route 10 at College Plaza, Randolph. Offering acupuncture, nutrition and wellness services including acupuncture, cupping, electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, facial rejuvenation, nutrition counseling, meditation classes, and seasonal lifestyle workshops, the team at Restoration Health works to help patients achieve optimal health to live their best lives.

Several guests took advantage of special Grand Opening offers to try acupuncture, meditation and nutrition coaching and five lucky winners won gift certificates. The team at Restoration Health also collected donations of canned goods and toiletries such as shampoo, razors, deodorant, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste to be donated to the Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center of Morris County.

“Having lived most of my life in Morris County, I am thrilled that Restoration Health will now be a part of the Randolph community. We are real people, driven by our belief that healthcare should be exactly that…Health Care,” states Dr. Lauren Kaplan, Founder of Restoration Health.

Acupuncture is a non-surgical, non-pharmacological modality that uses fine, sterile needles to stimulate the body’s nervous system to release neurotransmitters and endorphins and regulate signals to effectuate health and healing. It is used to treat a wide variety of ailments ranging from seasonal allergies, migraines, back pain, pre-menstrual syndrome, carpal tunnel and arthritis to smoking cessation and stress management. In addition to acupuncture, Restoration Health offers weekly meditation classes, nutrition coaching and seasonal workshops to help patients maximize their health.

Dr. Kaplan is a nationally board certified Doctor of Acupuncture who came to acupuncture out of her own desperate need to find pain relief from an 18-month long broken coccyx injury. “I can totally relate to people who have a fear of acupuncture. I was terrified of needles and only finally tried acupuncture when nothing else worked to relieve my pain.  Acupuncture needles are so thin that most of the time, you don’t even feel them,” comments Dr. Kaplan. She earned her Doctor of Acupuncture, Master of Science in Acupuncture and Bachelor of Professional Studies degrees from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.  Lauren is certified in facial rejuvenation and also served as an intern at NYU Lutheran Hospital in the Orthopedic/Neurology department where she received additional training in acupuncture for post-stroke sequelae.
