Image Makers Printing and Sign company was started by owner Gino Nuzzo back in August of 1984. At the young age of 22 and with only 4 years of on the job training,
he knew that he wanted to be his own boss. Starting out in the printing field at just 14 years old, he attended Passaic County Technical High School right here in Wayne
and was immediately fascinated with graphic arts.
After just one year starting the business out of his Mom’s garage in Pompton Lakes, the business which was quickly growing was moved to Wayne and has been there ever since. Image Makers has seen many changes in the printing industry including the high demand for full color printing. As much as print has evolved from the traditional offset presses (which they still have and run daily), the color digital print presses have evolved and can print hi-quality short run full color in record time. Booklets, brochures, business and postcards are run daily or overnight in most cases. Keeping up with industry changes over the years was quite the challenge, but over time, with state of the art equipment upgrades they have branched off in many directions including large format poster printing, blueprints and a full service sign shop including vehicle lettering, storefront signs and window graphics which are all produced in-house at the Route 23 location.
Throw in a complete screen shop business including shirts, hats, custom jackets and embroidery and you’ve got one-stop shopping for anything at all that you need printed. In 35 years, you can bet they have seen many shops open and close within just a 5-mile radius, including some big box supply stores. How have they survived many storms and persevered for 35 years? “Our philosophy has always been to just always treat our customers like they are good friends and that is exactly what most have become to us. We thank all of our loyal customers for sticking with us and supporting small business. You are the reason for our success,” said owner Gino Nuzzo. Stop in soon with whatever project you may have, large or small, you won’t be disappointed.
