Girls Skills and Drills Basketball Clinics
Clinics are offered for girls in third through eighth. Dates are Oct. 26, 28; Nov. 2, 4 at the Lincoln-Roosevelt Gym. Grades three through five are 6 p.m.-7 p.m., and grades six through eight are 7:15 p.m.-8:15pm.  Register online or in-person. Fee: $30.  

Recreation Children’s Bowling League
Bumper Bowling for kids in K-third grade; Regular Bowling for kids in fourth through eighth grade. Dates are Oct. 26-March 22, 4 p.m.-5:15 p.m. at Circle Bowl, Ledgewood. Total of 21 sessions of two games each. Register in-person only at Roxbury Rec.

Sept. 24, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Vendors Wanted for fourth Annual Roxbury Community Yard Sale at Horseshoe Lake Fairgrounds Parking Lot. Register now for a table. This popular fundraising event was created by the Roxbury Area Chamber of Commerce to provide residents with a central location to sell their yard sale items and to give shoppers a convenient, one stop place to browse multiple sales. Sellers can register for a 12′ x 12′ spot with a donation of $25 per spot; Premium spots are $35. Visit www.roxburygaragesale.org to register for a table.
Shoppers, shop for free, no admission fee! Featuring just about everything – garage sale items, arts, crafts, gifts and more! Refreshments and restrooms on site. Proceeds will benefit many areas of the community including Social Services, Historical Society, the RACC scholarship fund, school clubs, other in-town initiatives and to promote our Chamber and the Township’s business community. Through Nov. 7, Vendors Wanted for Home for the Holiday Event,11 a.m.-4 p.m., at Main Street in Succasunna. Roxbury Township invites participation in the second annual Home for the Holiday Event. Another successful year is anticipated of bringing residents and visitors out for a day of events including horse drawn carriage rides, strolling carolers, visit with Santa Clause and shopping with vendors. This event will take place on Sat., Dec. 3, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Sat., Oct. 1, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Teddy Bear Princess Tea Party
Roxbury Senior Center, Succasunna. All girls entering kindergarten in Roxbury, Mt. Arlington and St. Therese are welcome.  Bring a special stuffed friend, wear your favorite princess attire for a lovely Teddy Bear Princess Tea Party.  Come meet your new Daisy friends.   Explore all the fun that Girl Scouting can be!  For more information please contact  Jill DeCraine at jdecraine@gmail.com.

Sat., Oct. 8, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Used Clothing/Toy Collection
Nixon Elementary School parking lot, Landing. Boy Scout Troop 188 Scouts scouts will be collecting wearable and useable clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, ties, linens, comforters, blankets, stuffed animals, bicycles, toys, action figures, dolls, toy cars and trucks. Place all fabric items in a well tied bag. Individual toys must be able to fit in a 24” X 24” X 21” box. The scouts are unable to collect the following items. No furniture, books, CD’s or DVD’s, infant walkers, cribs or car seats. All money raised will used to support the local Landing/Mt. Arlington area Boy Scout program. Sat., Oct.15, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Fashion and Tea Show, First Presbyterian Church, Succasunna. Ladies, come and enjoy a Fashion and Tea Show. Fashions modeled will be from the Dress Barn. Small sandwiches and desserts will be served as you enjoy the show. Door prizes will also be given out. Tickets can be purchased either by calling the church at 973-584-5238 or Ruthann Wilkins at 973-584-6638 no later than Oct. 10. Invite family, friends, and neighbors to join you for this fundraising event. Cost: $20 per ticket.
