The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will hold the Seventh Annual Blessing of the Fleet 11:30 a.m., Sat., June 11 outside of Alice’s Restaurant docks.
Lake Hopatcong Sail and Power Squadron and USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 15-10 are sponsoring the event.
All recreational boaters and their families are encouraged to join the morning’s event. A ceremony and blessing for each vessel in the parade of boats off the shore of Alice’s Restaurant will follow after a playing of the national anthem.
Those attending should arrive at the shoreline of Alice’s Restaurant promptly between 11 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary and The Sail and Power Squadron all look forward to a safe and rewarding 2016 boating season with all who come to enjoy the lake. Any of the attending boats in the parade that have not yet received their 2016 safe boating inspection decal will have the opportunity to request to have it examined at the end of the event.
