Learn About Beer And Halloween Fun At Library

Livingston Public Library has some exciting events coming up in October.
History of Craft Beers with John Holl is set to take place on Wed., Oct. 19,
 7 p.m. – 8:45 p.m., in the Livingston Program Room.

 It’s been 40 years since the first post-prohibition microbrewery opened in the United States, but craft beer is only now hitting its stride. There are now more than 4,500 small breweries opening in the country, and they are producing some of the most flavorful and innovative brews that have ever been created. A guided look through the world of craft beer, with interesting facts, colorful stories, and a look at why beer matters.

Holl is a New Jersey native and covered the Garden State for the “New York Times” and “the Star-Ledger.” He began his career at NJ Network Television and has written for the “Wall Street Journal,” “The Washington Post,” “Wine Enthusiast,” and many other publications. He is the award-winning editor and author.

Harry Potter Halloween Celebration is set for Thur., Oct. 27, 6:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.
Drop in for Harry Potter themed Halloween fun. There will be Hogwarts and Azkaban crafts and activities. Costumes encouraged. Drop in; no registration required.
