Learn About Hamilton Music And History At Library

The Verona Public Library is featuring a four-part discussion starting in September on Hamilton: Music and History.

The group plans to meet the third Sunday of each month, starting Sept. 18, at 3 p.m., through December and will cover roughly 200 pages of the book each session.

Many people are curious about “Hamilton,” the Broadway musical, which has reignited interest in the critically acclaimed book “Alexander Hamilton,” by Ron Chernow.

Read the book, and then join in to discuss it within the context of the musical.  Learn how the book inspired the play and how, in a few places, the musical took poetic license with history; listen to songs from the play; and discuss the book context.

Contact the Library today for a copy of the book. Call 973-857-4848 or email: library@veronanj.org.
