The Whippanong Library will introduce students in grades six to nine to computer programming by building a series of Python applications and games with text-based and graphical interfaces on Tuesdays beginning in September.
From Sept. 25 through Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. in the Whippany library, students will learn the basics of Python programming and expand their abilities to build even more complicated games using graphics, animation and sound. The cost per student is $100 due by Sept. 25. Participants must be registered two days in advance.
The program is made possible in part by a grant from FirstEnergy. The Whippanong Library also acknowledges the Friends of the Library contribution to Design with Python.
