Library Filled With Events

The Whippanong Library has scheduled several events for Aug. Must pre-register for all events. Online registration available on Events Calendar for all events unless noted otherwise. Summer events are made possible due to a generous grant from Bayer Health Care.
Be a Hero Help Fight Hunger, as a partner with the Interfaith Food Pantry of Morris County to help fight hunger and build community awareness among young patrons. To participate, sign up by checking the “Help Fight Hunger” box on reading log; get sponsors from family and friends; read and record books read in the reading log; submit reading log and check from sponsors to the Whippanong Library Circulation Desk made payable to the Interfaith Food Pantry. Deadline is Sat., Aug. 15.
Cinderella, Sat., Sept. 26, 11 a.m. to noon. Presented by Bella Princess. Come meet Cinderella and enjoy games, storytelling, sing-alongs and more.

Murder at Twilight- interactive Teen Murder Mystery Party- Fri., Oct. 23, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Presented by Without a Cue. Grades seven and older up. The guest of honor at the annual Vampire Ball is missing. When he is found staked among the ornate decorations in the reception hall, it is up to participants to solve this murder mystery. Limit 20 teens.

Adult Chess Club, Tues., Aug. 18, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Enjoy playing chess? Come in and test skills against other players.
Children’s Chess Club, starting Thurs., Oct. 8, Thurs., 4 p.m., to 5 p.m. Children of all ages can learn chess strategies and test their skills against other players.
Scrabble Club, Mondays, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Play scrabble at the library.
