The Chester Lioness Club will sponsor a fund raising “Gala Evening at the Show”on Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. in the Black River Playhouse, 54 Grove St.,Chester.
The Chester Theater Group will present “Home of the Great Pecan”, a hilarious, quirky southern comedy set in Sequin, Texas in the 1980’s. Mayhem ensues when Sequin prized landmark – the “Great Pecan” statue is stolen. A minister is on the make, aliens, a prom queen on the verge and a philandering fiance are just a few of the wild cast of suspects.
The $20 ticket includes refreshments of cheese, crackers, fruit, wine, soda, and bottled water. There will be a meet and greet with the play’s cast members. This performance will help benefit the Chester Lioness Charity projects. For tickets, contact Sue Youngman 908-852-1238 or any Lioness member.
