The Chester Lions Club received numerous applications for its annual scholarship initiative. High school seniors residing in Chester, Mendham and Washington Township applied for seven $5,000 scholarships offered by the Lions Club.

This year the awards were presented to three students from West Morris Mendham High School and four students from West Morris Central High School. Candidates were selected based upon criteria including scholastic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities, financial need and accomplishments that exhibited exceptional leadership.
