Little Falls Promotes Officer Emperio to Rank of Sergeant

The Little Falls Police Department (LFPD) promoted Patrolman Joe Emperio to the rank of Sergeant during a ceremony in front of the Little Falls Municipal Building on April 14.

Sgt. Emperio is an Army veteran who joined the LFPD in 2015. He has been a Junior Police Academy instructor and also serves as the department’s Domestic Violence Liaison Officer with Little Falls Police.

Sgt. Joe Emperio is flanked by Little Falls Police, Deputy Chief Bryan Prall and Mayor James Damiano.

Mayor James Damiano spoke after the ceremony.

“Earlier today I had the honor of promoting and swearing in Joe Emperio to the rank of Sergeant,” he said. ” Sgt. Emperio will be tasked with overseeing a patrol division here in Little Falls and I know he will make Little Falls proud. Congratulations on your promotion!. Stay safe out there.”

Councilman Al Kahwaty also commented that he was proud to attend the ceremony promoting Emperio.

“Sgt. Emperio is an asset to Little Falls and I’ve gotten to know him through his commitment to preventing domestic violence,” he explained. “Congratulations Sergeant!”
