The First Presbyterian Church Parish House in East Hanover hosts Swingin’ Tern Contra and Square Dancing to live music every first and third Saturday of each month.

Swingin’ Tern Dances is offered through The Folk Project, New Jersey’s premier acoustic music and dance organization.

Beginners are welcome and are even encouraged to participate in the beginner’s workshop preceding the dance. Participants can come solo or bring a partner.

Cost is $10 per adult, $5 per student with student ID.

Beginner’s workshop are at 7:30 p.m., followed by the dance from 8 p.m.- 11 p.m. Participants are asked to carry in clean, soft-soled shoes for dancing.
