Dr. Ira Goldberg, a leading local authority on dental implants, recently wrapped up a round of educational lectures in Montreal, Canada.
A long-time member of the AAID (American Academy of Implant Dentistry), Dr. Goldberg was asked to lecture to a group of over a hundred doctors. As a respected educator, its not uncommon for Dr. Goldberg to share his knowledge and expertise with others. The topic he spoke about was follow-up and maintenance regarding “full arch dental implants.”
“Full Arch Dental Implants,” commonly known by a variety of names such as All-On-Four®, is a technique to help patients who have advanced gum disease, infections, missing teeth, or teeth that are simply beyond repair. It is a popular procedure because complicated problems can be repaired in just a few appointments. “We perform All-On-Four® on a regular basis,” reports Dr. Goldberg. “For this reason, its important to know how to provide follow-up care once treatment is completed. We’ve developed comprehensive systems to provide these services, and this is why I was asked to share my knowledge with other dentists.”
In addition to speaking in Montreal, Dr. Goldberg was also recently requested to speak to other dentists aspiring to learn dental implantology. He lectured to a group of dentists regarding the process of performing Full Arch Dental Implants, along with preparation to take Associate Fellowship and Fellowship exams for the AAID.
“The AAID is one of the world’s largest dental implant organizations. Its important for dentists who want to perform dental implantology to obtain formal education. Achieving credentials in the AAID proves to the public that the dentist they select for their implant care is well educated and competent.”
Not only is Dr. Goldberg a Fellow of the AAID, but he is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry. This is the highest level of credentialing a dentist can achieve in the arena of Dental Implantology. This is one of the reasons Dr. Goldberg is so highly respected and sought after.
When asked about his role as an educator to other dentists, Dr. Goldberg thoughtfully stated, “I’ve always heard that when you’re passionate about something, it shows. I’ve been providing implant services for over 24 years, and I’m always excited about it. I guess that’s why other doctors and dental professionals ask me for my thoughts, help, and guidance. Its quite an honor, I love to share.”
