Mining History Lesson At Mendham Twp. Library

Learn about the history of the local miners on Thurs., May 19,
7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Mendham Twp. Library.

Author Stuart Lefkowitz plans to share, through stories, the history of miners and their families that worked in the mines of Northwestern New Jersey. His research dates back to the 1920’s, with the Mt. Hope Mine and the people who lived, worked, raised children and died there. His book is the culmination of 10 years of interviewing miners and their families.
