In celebration of its 25-year anniversary and as a way to say thanks to the Morris School District, the Morris Educational Foundation has created the 25th Anniversary Gratitude for its Schools grant.

With this grant, every school in the district will be awarded up to $5,000 to fund an initiative, program, or project designed to enrich education and strengthen the school community.  

In addition, the MEF has recently shared 25 faces of the organization that represent the impact the MEF has on the students and teachers of the Morris School District.

“Our ‘faces campaign’ is part of the MEF’s annual Friends Campaign, and ask of the larger community to support the work of the MEF in enhancing the educational experience of all the students of the Morris School District, addressing the diversity of our student body and closing the opportunity gap for all,” said Kim Pistner, chair of the MEF Development Committee.  “In addition, we are proud to bring experts to our community to speak on critical issues and topics facing today’s families, partner community tutors with struggling learners, create access to the very best opportunities in STEM and the Arts, inspire innovation for teachers and administrators, and connect students to alumni, ensuring that strong schools equal strong community.”

“What a year for the Morris Educational Foundation,” said Patty Haralampoudis, MEF chairwoman.  “We kicked off in September celebrating our founders and the 25th anniversary of our organization.  In 25 years, due to the generosity of our donors, we have given close to $3.5 million back to the Morris School District, awarded countless scholarships and grants, celebrated thousands of our district teachers and formed lasting community partnerships.”

To further inspire families and the community to invest in the MEF as they celebrate 25 years, the MEF is honoring all donors who increase their gift by 25 percent or new donors with a gift of $125 or more with recognition in the Quarter Century Club.  All new donations of $125 or more will also be doubled thanks to the Haralampoudis family. This is an incredible opportunity to double the impact of donations.
