Music Director Celebrates 30 Years At Nearby Church

Music director Kevin McCann is celebrating 30 years of service at Sts Peter and Paul Church in Great Meadows.

A long-time resident of Hackettstown, McCann began his ministry playing in the folk group at St. Marys’ in Hackettstown; then served as children’s music director

for Our Lady of the Mountain in Schooleys Mountain. He also served as director for the praise group at St. Joseph’s church in Washington.

At Sts Peter And Paul he directs the youth praise group with guitars, keyboards, drums and various other instruments. He also directs two adult choirs at different masses, and has strived to add a more contemporary sound to the Catholic celebrations.

He was also involved in the Billy Yank statue project in Hackettstown where the words to his original composition “Monument” are inscribed on the base of the statue, and also lends his musical talents to the Warren County Habitat For Humanity for house dedications.
