PARENT/TODDLER WORKSHOP AT THE ALBROOK SCHOOL

PARENT/TODDLER WORKSHOP AT THE ALBROOK SCHOOL

The Albrook School Parent-Toddler class was a great success. Every Tuesday from 3:00 pm – 4:15 pm, for eight weeks, seven little toddlers’ ages 16 months to 24 months came to Albrook with a parent and engaged in a hands-on introductory Montessori class.

It was amazing to witness these tiniest of students every week, becoming more confident and grounded as they explored the age-appropriate, engaging, Montessori activities. It’s no surprise that snack time was a favorite activity. It was such a joy to see how these very young students could sit so nicely to eat their little feast of cheese, fruit, and crackers from real plates and drink water from small glasses. Then, with guidance, they carefully scraped their plates and placed them in a tub of water to be washed.

It was also an excellent opportunity for first-time parents to connect and have peer support as they navigate their child through the ups and downs of toddlerhood.

The Albrook School was founded in 1979 as a non-profit Montessori school. We serve up to 200 children ages two through twelve. Our School is accredited by the American Montessori Society and by the Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools and follows the Montessori philosophy of assisting each child in developing each of his or her potentialities to the fullest. The Albrook School is located at 361 Somerville Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.
