Preschool Advantage held its 20^th Anniversary Golf Invitational at Morris County Golf Club on June 20.

For 20 years, supporters of the Morristown non-profit have enjoyed a day of golf while raising funds for preschool tuition for three- and four-year olds in our community.  The success of this year’s event was due to the tremendous commitment of the many sponsors, participants and volunteers.

Tournament Sponsors for this milestone event were PNC Bank and Normandy Real Estate Partners.

“We are so grateful for the ongoing support of these wonderful organizations,” said Molly Dunn, executive director of Preschool Advantage.

The Morris County Golf Club was a beautiful setting for the delicious lunch sponsored by Janet and John Harrington and Atlantic Realty Development Corporation before the 86 golfers set off for an afternoon of challenging, but fun, golfing.  In the evening, Wiley Malehorn Sirota & Raynes sponsored the cocktail hour during which attendees had the opportunity to bid on rounds of golf at many of the premier clubs in the area.  Cocktail hour was followed by dinner sponsored by Adrienne and Dillard Kirby.  A 50/50 raffle to celebrate the 20^thanniversary of the event raised $10,000 for tuitions.

The event had many additional sponsors.  Proceeds from the day spent with friends, clients and prospective business contacts will provide funding for preschool tuitions for 18 children for the coming school year.  Thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers who made the day a great success.

Preschool Advantage provides children of local families in need with the foundation for a lifetime of successful learning by funding quality preschool education.  Universal preschool is not available in New Jersey.  Disadvantaged families cannot afford to pay for their children to attend quality preschool and they arrive at kindergarten with a significant achievement gap in knowledge, vocabulary and social skills.  Preschool Advantage partners with 17 area preschools that provide a quality education for children.  Together with donors, supporters and community partners, the non-profit organization is providing opportunities for a lifetime learning that creates a better world for our students, their families and the community.
