Prevent Osteoporosis With Healthy Bones Class

The East Hanover and Roseland Health departments are partnering with the N.J. Department of Health and Senior Services to offer Project Healthy Bones, a preventative, 24-week osteoporosis exercise and education class for residents of East Hanover and Roseland ages 55 years old and older.
Project Healthy Bones is a class that will combine exercise to increase strength and balance while educating individuals about osteoporosis. A physicians note is required as well as a commitment of 24 weeks for all participants.
Classes will meet Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon, beginning Oct. 14, at the Thomas Rinaldi Center in East Hanover. Registration is required.
A free information session to learn about Project Healthy Bones is set for Sept. 30, 11 a.m. to noon, at the Thomas Rinaldi Center.
