Randolph High Celebrates Athletic Trainers

In March, Randolph High School recognized its athletic trainers as part of National Athletic Training Month.
Athletic trainers provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical examination and diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitative care. Randolph High Schools two athletic trainers are Mr. Tom Grable and Ms. Mar Deeb who both provide daily support to the high school’s student athletes over all three seasons which includes hours over the summer and on weekends.
Mr. Grable and Ms. Deeb said they would like the school community to become more aware of the scope of what athletic trainers do. “Besides sporting events, it is not unusual that we have responded to a health crisis from staff, fans, band, dance or theater,” he said. “It is especially important to our freshman parents and student athletes are aware that our services are available to them as they begin their high school careers.”
Their efforts cover prevention, treatment, return to play protocols after injury, evaluation and of course the vitally important emergency response.
Mr. Grable has over two decades of Athletic Training experience with well over a decade here in Randolph; Ms. Deeb joined us two years ago. Both have made a significant impact on our school community with their many continued efforts for our diverse athletic programs and student athletes.
