Roxbury offers Adult English as a Second Language Course

The Roxbury Community School plans to offer a fall course for adult English language learners.

This course would be “survivor English” with basic instruction including listening, speaking, reading, and writing in order for adults to more fully involved themselves in the community. Shopping, filling out forms, using a public library, finding a way around, interacting with the community, group discussion, speaking with people, description of jobs and job applications, and much more!

This adult ESL course is open to any Roxbury or non-Roxbury resident who would like to work with one of Roxbury’s own English as a Second Language teacher’s to practice their English language skills. This fall course will run for 14 weeks beginning Tues., Sept. 13 and concluding Dec. 13.

Classes will be held at Roxbury High School in Succasunna from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Registration is required and the deadline to register for the fall semester is Mon., August 29. Register now at www.roxbury.org/ESLFall.
