Members of the Roxbury High School Roxbotix robotics team recently participated in the Roxbury Adopt-A-Road program as part of the New Jersey Clean Communities initiative.
The high school team spent time cleaning up Righter Road in Succasunna. The team does this twice a year and receives small mini-grants to help fund the program.
The Clean Communities program is a comprehensive litter abatement program serving New Jersey residents and visitors. The basic mission is to reduce litter in public places, promote the volunteer cleanup of public lands and to sustain a reduction in litter through education.
Roxbury Clean Communities has a simple and fun way to be a part of the community. Individuals, school groups, churches, and businesses donate time to continue to keep Roxbury beautiful.
