Run To The “Games Victorians Played” Program at Washington Township Public Library

The Washington Township Public Library is pleased to offer “Games Victorians Played” 1:30 p.m., Mon., July 11.

This free program is open to the public and will explore the development of some of today’s major sports (golf, football and baseball), games victorians playparlor games and games for children and local social clubs and sports institutions.  Amy Curry of the Morris County Historical Society will lead the presentation.

The program is offered as part of the library’s Adult Summer Reading Club, which is currently in full swing. The club offers town residents a chance to read books, attend programs and complete puzzles, with each activity counting as an entry into weekly and grand-prize drawings. This year’s prizes include t-shirts, water bottles, tote-bags, gift certificates and a grand-prize Fitbit Flex. Those who have not yet registered for the Adult Summer Reading Club are still welcome to sign up.

To register, visit wtpl.org or call the library at 908-876-3596.
